This season marks the third year PJ's will host BAR-B-CRUIS-IN nights. As in the past, they will take place on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of May, June and
July (weather permitting). Vintage cars up to and thru the baby boom years ('46 - '64) will be on display. Music will be provided by DJ's Johnny "Be" Goode and Dr. Doo Wop for folks jitterbugging and strolling down memory lane.

Starting with the first BAR-B-CRUIS-IN night in May, Johnny "Be" Goode will be back "spinnin' and grinnin' . . .playin' what you're sayin' . . . songs gone from the charts, but not from our hearts." Johnny's collection includes over 10,000 songs from the baby boomera, and he will gladly take your requests. In addition to "dee-jaying"at PJ's, he is available for private parties, class and family reunions and other functions. Johnny can be reached, toll free, at 1-877-J.B.Goode!

Back by popular demand! Our colorful T-shirts will be on sale again this season. The T-shirts feature an artist’s rendition of the restaurant with classic cars parked in front (a la BAR-B-CRUIS-IN nights at PJ’s) and a line of hungry customers wrapping around to the back of the shirt. 16th SEASON!

This year PJ's celebrates 16 seasons in Saratoga Springs. Thanks to our many loyal friends, customers, employees and business associates who have made our progress possible. What started out as a small catering business 25 years ago has continued to grow in the proud tradition of a family owned and operated business. Our son, John, and our daughter, Jady, continue their education at Plattsburgh State University. PJ and Carolyn continue to be proud of them and are happy that they are an integral part of the business. June 14th marks PJ and Carolyn's 30th w e d d i n g annivers a r y !

PJ's BAR-B-Q will open its doors for business on Saturday, April 17, 1999, and will be open every day at 11:30 a.m. INSIDE DINING IS AVAILABLE!

From the beginning, the Davis family has been selling a loganberry drink at PJ’s BAR-B-Q. The loganberry is a cross between a blackberry and a red raspberry. Along the way, they started mixing the loganberry drink with lemonade. Last season, they began calling this unique blend Sarasoda. Somewhere between Saratoga, NY, steeped in thoroughbred horse racing tradition, and their winter home in Sarasota, FL, famous for white sandy beaches and palm trees, the brand name was born!

This season, the Davis’s will expand distribution of Sarasoda throughout the Capital District and nearby counties. It will be available in 20 oz. plastic bottles and will come in two non-carbonated flavors - loganberry and loganberry/ lemonade.

Q-Card Holders

If you received our ". . . not a creature was stirring . . ." holiday card, you probably know about our roadside sign message contest.

JUST Q-IT

To date, there are over 2000 Q Card holders. They are loyal friends and customers whom we enjoy treating with free food and gifts throughout the season. In addition, they receive various mailings, including this newsletter. Applications for Q Cards are available at the restaurant.

Expansion Plans

For the past few years, we have been exploring the possibility of expanding the restaurant as well as the sur-rounding grounds. Included in our thoughts are an expanded dining room, miniature golf course, separate ice cream stand, picnic pavillion, child-ren’s play area, baseball diamond, and other recreational facilities. What the future holds for PJ’s is now in the preliminary planning stages. Any and all suggestions are always welcome . . . stay tuned!

"Man's best friend" now has its very own area at PJ's. We have designated an area especially for dog lovers. At PJ's PARK 'n BARK doggies can now join "the man eating chicken!!" "Doggie bags" will be available!!
